Windows 10 / 11 — step-by-step setup

1. System Requirements

✓ Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
✓ 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended)
✓ Active internet connection
✓ Microphone or virtual audio device (e.g. VB-Cable)
✓ Video call app running (Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams, etc.)

2. Download the Installer

Sign in on the ECHOsenses homepage, accept the terms, and click Accept & Download. Your browser will download a file named ECHOsenses-Setup.exe (or similar). Save it anywhere — your Desktop is fine.

3. Bypass Windows SmartScreen

Why does this happen?

ECHOsenses is safe but not yet code-signed with a Windows certificate. Until we obtain one, Windows SmartScreen will flag the installer. This is expected and can be bypassed in seconds.

    Double-click the downloaded .exe file

    Windows will briefly scan the file and then show a blue warning screen.

    Click "More info"

    The blue screen says "Windows protected your PC". Look for the small "More info" link below the warning text and click it.

    Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk.

    Click "Run anyway"

    After clicking "More info", a new button appears at the bottom: "Run anyway". Click it — the installer will launch immediately.

4. If Windows Defender Blocks the File

In rare cases Windows Security (Defender) may quarantine the file. Here's how to allow it:

  1. 1. Press Win + S and search for Windows Security — open it.
  2. 2. Go to Virus & threat protection → click Protection history.
  3. 3. Find the ECHOsenses entry → click it → click Allow on device.
  4. 4. Re-run the installer — it will proceed without being blocked.

5. Complete the Installation

  1. 1. The installer opens — click Install and wait about 30 seconds.
  2. 2. ECHOsenses launches automatically when installation finishes.
  3. 3. A shortcut is added to your Desktop and Start Menu.

6. First Launch & Activation

  1. 1. Open ECHOsenses — sign in with the same Google account you used on the website.
  2. 2. You get 15 free trial minutes automatically — no license key needed to start.
  3. 3. To buy more minutes, click Buy License in the bottom bar — one-click Razorpay checkout, key auto-activates.

7. Troubleshooting

App won't open after install

Right-click the desktop shortcut → Run as administrator. On first launch Windows may need elevated permissions.

No audio being captured

Go to Settings inside the app and make sure the correct microphone or audio device is selected. For system audio capture, install VB-Cable (free virtual audio driver).

Overlay not visible during screen share

ECHOsenses uses stealth rendering — it is intentionally hidden from screen capture. It is visible only on your physical monitor. This is by design.

Session stuck or license locked

Close and reopen the app. If the issue persists, contact us at echosensessupport@gmail.com — we'll unlock your session manually.
